What Is Work?
The person who has mastered the art of living simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing.
Work is often thought of as something we have to do, while play is something you choose to do. The distinction is more of an idea than a reality, because they both require physical and mental energy.
People want to see passion in a leader; it’s inspiring to think that all commitments and energy are behind a team’s performance. If you find you enjoy leading people to success, give it all you’ve got. If not, let someone else do it.
The basis of a mission statement is to identify what it is that you enjoy so much. What is it that you do that you can lose track of time when you’re doing it. Part of the mission must also require the desire to make a difference in other people’s lives.
You can achieve greater success in your responsibilities as a leader when your mission statement keeps reminding you of your passions while making important decisions regarding your career and how it impacts other people.
I believe that that is why we are all here in this day and time. We are here to help make a difference in the world. We are here to help make changes in the world that work. What do we live for if not to make the world less difficult for each other?
We have been given the honor of helping each other to rebuild our world and when we do it together it is not work.
To be apart of changing and enhancing our lifes and the lives of others is a feeling no amount of money can duplicate.
We will receive not what we idly wish for but what we justly earn. Our rewards will always be in exact proportion to our service."
